HOME TREND ALERT: Bold Citrus Colors & Accents

This year decorating with citrus hues is hotter than ever!  Bring these bright and sunny colors into your home by painting the walls a bold citrus hue or by simply placing a few accents here and there. Either way these colors will add warmth, energy, and style to any room in your home.  Check out a few of my favorite spaces below, and if your still not certain about how these colors will look in your home, try previewing them by displaying some bright flowers or by hanging a bold piece of artwork. This way you can test it out without committing.

Citrus colors feel right at home in this retro style kitchen.

The orange in this room really warms the space. It has energy and excitement.  Just imagine the room without it...

Look how great these citrus hues look with gray.  They add just the right amount of pop to make this room shine.

I love this space.  It even incorporates the color of grapefruit in the sofa.  Citrus hues all naturally combine and fit together. This room is a great example of this fact

This homeowner added a burst of orange to their dining room by creating slipcovers for their pre-existing chairs and by adding a few accessories to the room.  This is a great example of how you can add this palette to your home without committing to it.

Waking up in this room would make any day a bright, warm, sunny one.

This sunny room is warm and inviting. The modern furniture creates a room that is a contemporary take on Grandma's summer home in Florida.

This is my favorite room. It's a place that I would love to spend time in and I adore it's country charm.  The soft lime green color and citrus accents make it such an inviting space. I'd love to bake a pie here and I don't even bake!

I'd love to know what you think.

  1. Bright colors are very well used in designing these houses. Also, using contrasting colors on the floors and decors provides calmness to any person who stays in it.

  2. I like the idea of adding a retro style and design to your kitchen. The citrus design looks very compelling. I would love to have a kitchen that looks like that. The simplicity of the design can really make a difference. perth home renovations

  3. There's nothing quite like living in such a brightly colored home. It certainly helps get rid of any gloom or stress you get from the outside world.
