Materials
- Timber table
- Sandpaper
- Cloth
- Primer & paint
- 2 x paintbrushes
- Assorted maps
- Scissors
- Decoupage glue.
- Spotlight
- Small paint roller & tray
Step 2 Paint legs and rim of table with primer. When dry, apply 2 coats of paint. Allow to dry between coats.
Step 3 For clean edges, place map on table overlapping edge and run your finger along table edge with firm pressure to create a crease. Use this crease as a guide to cut along map.
Step 4 If you want to layer map pieces on top of each other: Using clean paintbrush and decoupage glue, paste maps onto tabletop. Overlap maps to cover entire surface of tabletop.
Step 5 Allow to dry for 1 to 2 hours. To seal surface, use a small roller to apply multiple thin layers of glue to the top of the table allowing about 30 mins to dry between coats.
Step 6 Depending on how the table will to be used, you may also want to add a sealer. Ask your local hardware store empolyee what is best to use.

Love the maps on table tops! Gonna have to try this with a desk I'm refinishing.
